bunq and Okta share the same goal: improving the user experience by combining security and convenience. bunq's IT team was looking for a system that would minimize manual tasks, and thanks to its advanced automation capabilities, they chose Okta.

A new foundation for identities in just two weeks

With support from FuseLogic, bunq implemented Okta in just two weeks. After integrating with the HR system BambooHR and connecting key apps with Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), the team deployed Lifecycle Management to automate application provisioning, as well as Advanced Server Access to automate access rights for developers.

There are approximately 15 applications that every bunq employee needs access to, such as Google Workspace and Slack. Thanks to Okta's Lifecycle Management, access to these apps is automatically granted and revoked based on reliable HR data.

bunq makes extensive use of cloud server capacity, and administrator access to these servers must be demonstrably strictly limited. In the past, a complex and time-consuming process was used for this.
