One of our clients, as a result of previous mergers and acquisitions, no longer had the right to continue using their brand name. Because the legal access to the old brand name expired on June 1, 2023, urgency was required.
In addition to the branding changes, all users needed to be migrated to a new AD domain with a new UPN and a new email domain. Given the hard deadline and short timeline for the project, the decision was made to create a new Okta tenant. Also, an OIE (Okta Identity Engine) upgrade was added to the project scope.
By using Okta Org2Org, employees can still access applications as they were accustomed to, with the addition of a redirect to the new Okta tenant. In line with the branding, all usernames and email addresses were also updated with the new domain.
FuseLogic successfully completed the project together with the client before the deadline had passed. The approximately 400 employees of our client now have the ability to work as they were accustomed to, but through their new branding in a new Okta OIE tenant. For the IT team, the chosen setup enables a gradual migration of applications from the old to the new Okta tenant.
