Privacy statement
Protecting your privacy
FuseLogic B.V. ("FuseLogic", "we" or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal data you share with us. Privacy policies can be complicated. We have done our best to make ours as clear as possible. When we process your personal data, we follow these privacy principles:
-
We use your personal data to provide products and services to you;
-
We do this securely and store the data in a protected way;
-
We are honest and transparent about it;
-
We respect your trust;
-
We never sell your personal data;
-
We keep you informed;
-
We take our responsibility seriously;
-
We make sure you keep as much control as possible.
This policy explains how those principles work in practice. By sharing your personal data with FuseLogic and by continuing to use our websites and products, you confirm that you have read and understood the terms of this privacy policy. This policy has been in effect since July 2019.
What information we collect
FuseLogic does not want to know everything about you. The main reason we collect personal data is to deliver and improve the products, services and experiences you can expect from us as a customer. We collect your personal data when you:
- Interact with us, for example to become a customer or to request information. In that case we ask for your name and possibly your contact details;
- Visit our website. In principle you browse our website anonymously, but we log your IP address to get a sense of which parts of the site you visit and how much time you spend there. We do not link this to your personal data unless we need to in order to resolve a website issue and you have given consent for that. We do this to improve your online experience and that of other users. See also the section "cookies on our website";
- Have other online interactions with us, such as visiting our website or blog, or registering for a whitepaper, case study, webcast or newsletter. In those cases we may ask for your name and email address;
- Share your data with us for any other reason than the ones above, for example to attend a seminar or for commercial purposes.
Once you are a customer, we may need additional data to deliver our products and services, such as payment details. We apply the "need-to-know" principle here: we only collect the data we consider strictly necessary for our service.
What we do with your information
The information we collect helps us understand your needs better and offer you better products and services. We also need your data to:
- Fulfil your requests for specific products and services;
- Inform you about changes to our products and services;
- Deliver goods and services;
- Keep you informed about the latest product and service announcements, software updates, special offers or other information;
- Personalise your website experience;
- Understand which parts of the website you find interesting, so we can offer more information about those topics in future.
The personal data FuseLogic collects through its website is only used for the purposes for which it was provided, in line with this policy and applicable privacy law. FuseLogic or our business partners may also use your data for marketing purposes, but only if you have given FuseLogic permission to do so. In exceptional cases FuseLogic may use your personal data for activities you did not directly request. In those circumstances we have what is called a "legitimate interest" in processing your personal data, for example:
- Detecting and preventing fraud;
- Securing our websites, products and IT systems;
- Improving our processes, procedures and systems.
How we share your information
First of all, it is important to know that we will never sell your personal information. Second, we never share your personal data for the marketing purposes of third parties. Third, we only share your information with third parties if you have asked us to. We do this, for example, with distributors who help us sell our products and services in certain countries, or third parties who help us with mailing services, financial services, audit services, administrative services, cloud services, security services and insurance.
FuseLogic operates internationally. When we share your personal data with other FuseLogic companies and partners, we make sure their staff only have access to the information they need for their work. We also make sure all our staff understand how and why we protect your personal data. FuseLogic, and the third parties we share your personal data with, will host, store and otherwise process that data in the Netherlands (at our head office), in countries within the European Economic Area (EEA) or, in exceptional cases, in locations outside the EEA. FuseLogic will make sure any transfer of your personal data from one country to another complies with the data protection and privacy law that applies to us.
When we transfer personal data outside the EEA, we either include standard data protection clauses approved by the European Commission in our contracts with those third parties, or we make sure the country where your personal data is processed has been recognised as "adequate" by the European Commission. In any case, our transfer, storage and processing of your personal data will be governed by this privacy policy.
How long we keep your data
FuseLogic only keeps your personal data:
- For as long as we need it for the purpose for which it was provided, in line with this policy and applicable privacy law;
- For valid uses described in this privacy policy;
- For as long as needed to meet legal requirements.
Your control and choices over your personal data
If you want to access, change or delete your data, you can submit a request by email: privacy@fuselogic.nl
To make sure you are who you say you are, we ask you to include a copy of your legal ID with your request, with your Citizen Service Number (Burger Service Nummer / BSN) and photo blacked out. After your access request, you can ask for a change or deletion of your data.
This is possible if:
- The personal data is incorrect;
- The personal data is incomplete or not relevant to the purpose for which it was provided;
- The personal data is being used in a way that conflicts with the law.
How we secure your data
FuseLogic takes the protection of your data seriously and applies appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised changes to your information. We do this by:
- Using secured connections (TLS, Transport Layer Security) when exchanging information through our website;
- Storing your data securely and limiting access to it.
One specific safeguard FuseLogic has put in place to handle your information carefully is our Data Pro certification (a code of conduct from NLdigital, developed together with the Dutch Data Protection Authority).
